To our wonderful guests we need to impart several cautions which will help to make you stay as problem free as possible. Please take a minute to ready this page and familiarize yourself with its contents.
| If the home is on the waters edge, Please keep you
children in site and away from the edge of the Canal at all times. The water
can be beautiful, but unforgiving, especially for children.
| If the home has a Pool and Jacuzzi, Again, please keep the children in site when they are near the pool. Use the child safety locks on all the sliders and keep them closed and locked when the children are playing in any room that allows access to the pool area. |
| Our Pools and Spas use are professionally treated and use
Chlorine (the chemical of choice for resorts) to keep them to the highest
sanitary standards. Some people react to Chlorine (like any other
chemical). This reaction can include a skin rash and blood shot,
burning eyes. This is more apt to occur in people that do not
generally swim in chlorine treated pools on a regular basis, and who spend
an EXTENDED period of time in the pool/spa when they first
arrive. We recommend that you show due
caution to limit your pool/spa exposure until you feel comfortable that
there will be no reaction. Further, try and limit putting your face in
under the water. | |
| Remember that a Jacuzzi is designed to operate at a high temperature and that
reasonable care should be taken. Always consult a doctor to
ensure there are no health risks before you use a Jacuzzi.
| If the home has a bunk bed. As with any bed you can Overload
the capacity of the bed. Please don't exceed the
90lb capacity of the TOP bunk bed. Also, no playing in the bed, it is for
sleeping. | |
| All homes uses a 'Septic' system for waste removal from the toilets. Anything
dumped in the toilets ends up in a tank in the ground.
Please
don't deposit any products into the toilet that are not specifically designed to be
flushed. Items which specifically cannot be deposited include: Tampons, Paper
Towels, Napkins, Wrappers and Chemicals such as found in hair permanents.
| We have built a wonderful kitchen with state of the art appliances.
Always keep children out of the kitchen when you are cooking.
If our kitchen is equipped with a
cooktop: Cooktops are wonderful to cook on,
but require special care: Please don't drag pots across them,
instead lift the pot and move it. Also, never use any
abrasive products on the cooktop.
| Please always keep the home locked when you leave the house.
Marco Island is very safe, but we don't like to take chances with your valuables or
our own. | |
| If the home has a lift, use of the Lift and Dock is at "Your
Own Risk". The lift
supports must be configured for the particular boat being "lifted"
otherwise the boat or people near it can be injured. If you tie up to
the dock incorrectly the hull or sides of the boat can be damaged as the
current pushes the boat against the dock.
| Please...Please...Please remove your shoes when entering our home. We like to keep the carpets as clean as possible for ALL of our guests - and HATE to have to charge guests to shampoo carpets as a result of their stay!!!. |
Best Regards,
Paul
