Some helpful hints about making your departure as smooth as your stay.  We have refined these items over time as more and more guests have stayed at the house.

bulletPlease verify you have taken all belongings.  It is very common to forget cloths in the washer or dryer, also in the dressers.

bulletPlease verify you have not taken any of our DVDs or CDs by mistake.  Several guests have taken ours and left theirs without knowing.  While we like the change, we are partial to our own music.  The cleaning staff inventories all DVDs after each guest leaves.

bulletConfirm your flight status with your airline.  If you are being picked up by a limo service you should also confirm your pickup with them.

bulletAll beds that were used during your stay should be 'Stripped' with the dirty linens (not the comforters) placed in the laundry room.  Remember we only do one wash of dirty linens/towels for you free.  The rest we must charge for at $15.00 per wash, so plan accordingly.

bulletAll doors and windows should be locked.

bulletIf you changed the message on the answering machine, please change it back to a generic greeting.  One that just says "You have reached [Insert House name] at Marco Island.....".

bulletPlease ensure the oven and cook-top are off.  And that all lights in the house are also off.  Especially the POOL Lights.

bulletEmpty the Grill can located under the grill.  We use the rock on the lot next door as a dumping ground, but don't tell anyone. Also, replace the drip pan under the grill if needed.  They should both be clean when you start, so we hope you will leave them the same way.

bulletAll dishes and pot/pans used during your stay should be returned to their hiding place in the cabinets.  The dishwasher and sink should be free of all dishes.

bulletPlease remove and discard all food from the Refrigerator and Pantry that you acquired during your stay.

bulletThe pool should be free of any toys or floats that may have been left in it.

bulletThe garbage should be removed from inside the house and placed in the garbage cans on the side of the house by the garage.

bulletYour key and garage door opener should be placed on the kitchen counter.  If you have not replace the key in the Key Box on the side of the Garage, please do so now.

Best Wishes and thanks for taking care of our home for us.
